Inspired by the film "Tron", “Cybercar” is an immersive technological environ for the contemplation of the relationship between humans and machines. The work itself consists of a glowing, monochromatic orange room activated by UV lights, the center of which is occupied by a greatly exaggerated reproduction of a Porsche designed LaCie hard drive. This rectangular, monolithic object is cold, black and lifeless save for a single blue light emanating from beneath it and the amplified sounds of a computer’s inner workings.
